The Story of Gloss
As a modern woman, my interest in beauty products was based on luxury and effectiveness. I seldom thought of the ingredients and the safety of the lotions, creams and nail polishes I was frequently using. My job as an international private banker meant that I needed to look well-groomed at all times and that was my only concern. It all changed for me when my teenage daughter began to use cosmetics and to frequent the neighborhood nail salons. I was alarmed when her youthful nails began to break and look frail. I researched the ingredients used in nail polish, lotions, cuticle creams, etc. and found out that most products used by the local nail salons are harmful to your health and contain many ingredients which are toxic and carcinogenic. My first thought was simple; I needed to find an alternative nail salon that used natural products for their services. Needless to say, my quest was in vain as I found they just didn’t exist in Miami. I had a choice to make, forgo the nail salon experience or open my own healthy nail salon.
Gloss Nail Bar began on the premise that luxury and glamour can co-exist with an eco-friendly lifestyle. I left my lifelong career to develop this idea and create an environment where luxury meets organic; I realized that the natural products available for the services were lacking the pureness and beneficial ingredients that I envisioned. My quest ended with the conclusion that I would develop my own product line to offer at Gloss and so, Gloss Naturals was created with one thing in mind: purity and wellness without compromise!
